Bill Stegeman

Bill Stegeman brings over 35 years of distinguished real estate expertise to Stegeman/Gill clients, peers, and the communities S/G serves, having been a top-producing new development and resale agent, award-winning sales manager, and accomplished broker-owner. He began his career in Manhattan, selling new-construction luxury condominiums before managing a family real estate enterprise in the Midwest and leading the flagship office of a premier luxury brokerage in Chicago. After excelling in two of the country’s most dynamic real estate markets — New York City and Chicago — Bill relocated with partner Scott Gill to Texas in 2014, drawn by the opportunity to contribute to the state’s booming luxury real estate market and the region’s rapid growth.

Stegeman/Gill clients value Bill for his deep market insight, clear communication, expert negotiation skills, and strong relationships within the brokerage community. Bill places a high priority on communication throughout the listing and sales process, ensuring that clients are informed at every step of the way. His extensive network allows him to deliver exceptional results, as demonstrated by a recent off-market transaction where he connected a client with a buyer before the property was listed. In another case, Bill secured favorable terms in a complex luxury property transaction, earning praise from both buyer and seller. His steadfast advocacy ensures that S/G clients’ interests are prioritized at every stage of the transaction. With innovative marketing strategies, creative social media campaigns, and extensive experience in off-market sales, Bill has positioned the Stegeman/Gill Group as one of DFW’s leading white-glove real estate teams, offering personalized service, meticulous attention to detail, and a seamless luxury transaction experience. The Group's commitment to discretion, responsiveness, and a hands-on approach guarantees exceptional care and unparalleled results for every client.

Bill holds an MBA in marketing and real estate finance from Columbia University and a BA from Princeton University. He studied graphic design at Harvard University and interior design at the New York School of Interior Design.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bill is actively engaged in the architecture and design communities. He serves on the AIA Homes Tour House Selection Committee; is a member with Scott of the Dallas Architecture Forum, Preservation Park Cities, the Dilbeck Conservancy, and the Turtle Creek Park Conservancy; and is an ex-officio member of the Dallas Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art.

Outside of work, Bill leads a rich and vibrant life, which informs his approach to real estate. His creativity and active lifestyle provide fresh perspectives and help him build strong, lasting relationships with Stegeman/Gill clients. A committed athlete, Bill placed 10th in his age group at the Dallas Marathon and now swims regularly with a Masters Group in Highland Park. His passion for music has led him to play jazz piano, a journey that began during his time composing musical theater for Princeton’s Triangle Club. Bill is also a dedicated supporter of the arts, serving as a Board Member of the Dallas Chamber Symphony and a donor to WRR Classical Radio. Additionally, he remains actively involved in the creative community as a member of a private men’s club in San Francisco.
