Bill Stegeman

Bill brings a wealth of experience to every client relationship, drawing on his career as a top-producing agent, an award-winning broker, and an accomplished brokerage owner. His recognized leadership in managing several prestigious real estate offices, combined with deep market insight, expert negotiation skills, and a commitment to relationship-building — with clients and fellow agents alike — have helped position Stegeman/Gill as one of the standout teams at Allie Beth Allman & Associates.

Bill launched his real estate career in Manhattan, specializing in luxury new construction condominium project sales in some of the City’s toniest neighborhoods.  In tandem with his work in sales, Bill expanded his expertise through affiliation with high-end interiors firms in New York and Los Angeles. He subsequently led a family-owned real estate firm in the Midwest before returning to brokerage, managing the flagship office of Chicago’s oldest and most prestigious luxury brokerage. In 2014, drawn by the state’s dynamic growth, he relocated to Texas, bringing with him this exceptional wealth of industry experience and success.

Now a top broker in the Dallas luxury market, Bill uses his patient and empathetic diplomatic skills to smoothly guide transactions through the often-emotional process from offer to close. Described by clients as prompt, positive, thorough, and collaborative, Bill is known for building easy, cordial relationships with everyone involved in a transaction—buyers, sellers, Realtors, vendors, and contractors alike. These strong industry relationships often put Stegeman/Gill at the front of the line for off-market and early-access opportunities, a major benefit in DFW’s fast-paced market.

Outside of real estate, Bill is an accomplished jazz pianist with a lifelong passion for music. He began his schooling at Michigan’s Interlochen Center for the Arts, which led to him composing musical theater at Princeton with the Triangle Club. His post-graduate studies include the Berkeley College of Music and work under noted songwriter-singer Holly Knight. Today, he performs with a West Coast-based men’s organization focused on music and the arts. Outside of music, Bill is a dedicated athlete, having placed 10th in his age group in the Dallas Marathon and training regularly with a Masters swimming group at Southern Methodist University in the Park Cities.

An active participant in Dallas’s vibrant music and design scenes, Bill serves on the board of the Dallas Chamber Symphony and is a member of the Texas Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art. He is also engaged with the Dallas Architecture Forum, Preservation Park Cities, Turtle Creek Park Conservancy, and the Oak Lawn Committee. Bill holds a BA from Princeton University and an MBA from Columbia University and has pursued additional studies in graphic design at Harvard and interior design at the New York School of Interior Design.

Scott Gill

Scott comes to Stegeman/Gill with a career that bridges high-level real estate leadership and deep architectural knowledge. Drawing on his background as a top-producing agent, managing broker, and former brokerage owner, Scott leverages his years of experience to advise buyers and sellers with confidence, clarity, and insight. Stegeman/Gill clients benefit not only from his market expertise but also from his finely tuned eye for design and construction—a rare combination that truly sets him apart.

Scott began his career working in residential and hospitality architecture and interiors and spent a number of years as an architect and new development/property manager for a private commercial real estate firm. He subsequently turned to residential brokerage, embarking on his expanded vocation in Chicago at the city’s top luxury brokerage. There, he quickly advanced to brokerage management, ultimately leading two of the region’s top luxury offices. In 2012, he returned to Texas, drawn by the dynamism of the state and its burgeoning real estate market. Joined by partner Bill Stegeman, the two men formed the Stegeman/Gill Real Estate Group to capitalize on their exceptional joint and complementary skills, backgrounds, and experience.

Scott’s meticulous attention to detail helps clients reach informed, confident decisions. His insatiable curiosity and analytical mind make him a natural at identifying a property's hidden potential—or its limitations.  He’s quick to spot opportunities others might miss, calling on his knowledge of architecture and design to insightfully review construction documents, evaluate floor plans, or assess a property's long-term potential—a skill clients really appreciate and value.   His honed understanding of how architectural design, layout, and details can shape everyday life allows him to guide clients toward homes that not only function beautifully but also bring lasting joy and enduring value.

Outside of real estate, Scott continues to pursue his passion for historic architecture and design. An avid student of architectural history, he is the author of three award-winning books on the subject: Kentucky Houses of Stratton Hammon, Country Houses of Louisville, 1899–1939, and Gideon Shryock: His Life and Architecture, 1802–1880. He additionally enjoys a keen interest in the history and interior architecture of the majestic transatlantic ocean liners of the twentieth century, and especially of that greatest of ships, the Normandie.

Scott is a director of the Texas Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art and a past director of the Society of Architectural Historians. He is an active member of the Dallas Architecture Forum, Preservation Park Cities, Turtle Creek Park Conservancy, and the Oak Lawn Committee. He holds a PhD in Architectural History from the University of Texas at Austin, an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master of Architecture from Rice University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Stanford University.
